friday fun

Today the kids didn't have school, so we decided to go to the Train Park ... again! It's truly their most favorite place to go. I love it too, to be honest. We stayed for almost three hours; riding the trains, ponies and playing at the fun playgrounds. It was another warm day (82-degrees), so it was perfect park day weather.

My 5 mile run with Trina, Erin and Susan was awesome! I am so excited to start running with them on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We took it nice and slow, doing 10 minute miles. Next Saturday we'll start the 10+ mile runs. I am getting more and more pumped about running my 13!

Today I took Addi to the pediatrician's office and we got a "one way ticket" (so to speak) to the Audiologist. I was really bummed to hear that it's true about the direct correlation between kidney defects and ear defects (inner and outer) because they form at the same time in the womb. As I was reading through this article online, I was stunned by the news. Why haven't we heard this earlier if it's so common and almost a "given"? Her appointment is on 11/27 ... more to come ...

Tonight Mark is on a camp out with the Young Men so the kids and I attempted the movie theatre. I say attempted because between the park for a few hours and the 45 minute drive (each way), cardio/weight class this morning and Addi's doc appointment ... they were pretty pooped! The Baird's invited us to hang out with them and catch a movie since Amy's hubby went on the camp out too. Logan and Addi lasted MAYBE 35 minutes and they were asking to go home and go to bed. Sure enough as soon as baths were over, they were both in bed and not one peep out of them.

Tomorrow is another fun day. We have a landscaper coming over to quote our backyard, I have a baby shower and then a "gift boutique".

Happy Veteran's Day!
